Week 2 Project

I just compledted my week 2 project for school. It is a simple scene with some piping and metal brackets that we modeled. The purpose of the project was mainly to model the brackets, and then realisticly texture the scene using strictly procedural textures and gradients. No texture maps.

  1. Is that a fractal you used for the bump map on the yellow bits?

  2. The bumpb map consists of about 6 seperate layers actually. Most of it comes from a crumple layer, a dented layer, and a veins layer.

  3. I like how your bracket doesn’t fit the pipe snugly… makes it more realistic. Getting away from perfection can be hard in 3D.
